CTN Staff

CTN is a voluntary organisation that operates a small national secretariat office.  The Secretariat is located in Sydney and co-ordinates CTN activities, policy development and consumer representation. A small resource library is available by appointment. CTN welcomes your input, please feel free to contact us.

Teresa Corbin, Chief Executive Officer

Teresa Corbin has worked for CTN in several positions since 1995 and was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer in 2003. Teresa has an in depth understanding of the needs of residential consumers in Australia after more than ten years of experience in telecommunications policy. Teresa has worked in the community sector in both policy and management positions for 20 years and has built up strong links with consumer groups on a regional national and international level.  Teresa holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Linguistics from La Trobe University. She has also completed one year of a Masters in Information & Communications Technology at the University of Wollongong.

Sarah Wilson, Policy Adviser

Sarah Wilson has been with CTN for nearly four years, moving from her role as Policy Officer to Policy Adviser in 2006.  As CTN policy advisor, Sarah tracks policy issues for comment and co-ordinates responses to requests for public comments. Before joining CTN, she worked for the Australian Consumers' Association, where she dealt with a broad range of consumer inquiries and complaints. Many years prior to that she worked for a telecommunications company, giving her insight into the issues and frustrations that face consumers in this area.  Sarah has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Newcastle and a Masters in Politics and Public Policy from Macquarie University.

Lisbeth Duke, Office Manager

For many people, Lisbeth is the first contact point at CTN. She originally joined CTN as the Admin Assistant in February 2001, fresh from a quixotic attempt at a Ph.D. After a hiatus of 2 years, exploring other work opportunities, she returned to the CTN fold as Office Manager in October 2004.  Lisbeth has Honours Degrees in Science and Arts, a Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary) and has a varied work history including in the textile industry, a garage, the Department of Immigration, secondary school teaching in Australia and England, and administration in different community organisations.

Danielle Notara, Policy and Research Project Officer

Danielle has joined CTN in the role of Policy and Research Project Officer. She has completed a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Social Inquiry) at the University of Technology Sydney. Danielle has recently returned from extended overseas travel that reinforced her sense of social justice and desire to work towards a fairer society through policy research and development. She is looking forward to the opportunity to work representing CTN and its members in projects over the coming months.

Ebony Thomas, Admin Assistant

Ebony has newly joined CTN, working part-time while she continues studying for a Bachelor of Science (Information Systems). Ebony has experience in Admin with IBM on a project for Optus and was President of the St Vincent de Paul Youth Chapter in Kempsey.
